Free Sky Tour hosted by Astronomer Phil Ostroff and Lampasas County Friends of the Night Sky. Astronomers will be on hand with their equipment to teach you about the night sky. You are welcome to bring your own telescopes, binoculars, cameras, etc. and learn how to get the best out of your equipment. The event will be cancelled in case of inclement weather or a heavy cloud forecast. Lampasas County Friends of the Night Sky is a program of Vision Lampasas. |
Carol Of Lights and HoliDazzle Christmas Parade
December 6th, 2025, join us for an all-day holiday event! Taking place in the Downtown Courtyard Square in Lampasas. Activities include vendors, antique car show, and Snow Queen Contest around our beautiful courthouse where the bandstand is decorated. Shops around town also have celebratory painted windows - check them all out! Lighted Christmas HoliDazzle parade begins at 6:30 from Avenue B and Western Street. The parade goes West on North Avenue, and left on third street past our beautifully lit downtown.
The museum will have decorated Christmas trees and gingerbread houses and will be open for visitors! Download the parade entry form and waiver here now!:

Christmas On the CreekDecember 13th, 2025, visitors can delight in seeing Santa’s Village, giant 12 Days of Christmas Cards, larger-than-life lighted Nativity and the beautiful lights display along the banks of Sulphur Creek between Hwy 190 (Key Avenue) and Hwy 281. The lights and park displays are up and open to visitors from Thanksgiving until New Year's! We expanded our Candy Cane Lane, – perfect for strolling with your loved ones. Guests will enjoy hot cocoa, snow machine, Santa’s Village, and more! |
