Christmas On the CreekOpen Thanksgiving weekend to New Years Day. Visitors were delighted to see Santa’s Village, giant 12 Days of Christmas Cards, larger-than-life lighted Nativity and the beautiful lights display along the banks of Sulphur Creek between Hwy 190 (Key Avenue) and Hwy 281. We expanded our Candy Cane Lane, – perfect for strolling with your loved ones in a social-distancing kind of 2020 way! The event was on December 12 – 5 – 8:00 pm and guests enjoyed hot coco, snow machine, and Santa’s Village. Limited events in 2020 were held, to help keep our community safe. |

Carol Of LightsFirst Saturday in December. Limited activities were held this year for your safety. An all-day holiday event was held on the Downtown Courtyard Square in Lampasas. Activities included OUTDOOR vendors, antique car show, and Snow Queen Contest around our beautiful courthouse. Although you won’t get to visit with Santa and Mrs. Santa were at the lighted Christmas parade that began at 6:30 from Avenue B and Western Street. The parade went West on North Avenue, and left on third street past our beautifully lit downtown. For the safety of our volunteers and participants, there were no guests on the bandstand. The parade was not judged this year. Spectators enjoyed from their car or while wearing a mask along the parade route. The museum still had decorated Christmas trees and gingerbread houses and was open for visitors. Parade entrants were required signing a waiver at the event, following government COVID guidelines. |
